Hands on, Practical first aid courses!
The Training Centre is a business that operates globally but is based in Portugal. Founded by first aid and outdoor education experts we offer fully accredited first aid courses, outdoor education programs and consultancy, as well as service and learning trips. All of our programs focus on hands on experiential learning based on sound theoretical knowledge.
Our primary aim in all of our first aid courses is to make you feel more confident if you are faced with any situation where first aid is required. Modern understanding of pedagogy accepts that we need first to have knowledge in order make best use of experiential learning or learning by doing. So all of our courses aim to give a background theoretical understanding but ensure that students spend most of their time applying this knowledge to a range of scenarios and situations appropriate to their working, leisure or home environment.
We offer a range of first aid courses which are accredited by Nuco training in the UK. We offer a range of qualification courses that are designed to meet the needs of governing bodies so that employers, as well as relevant professionals such as Mountaineering, Canoeing or Mountain Biking guides, can be certain they are operating in line with the health and safety executive as well as bodies such as the British Canoe Union and Mountain Leader Training UK. We are delivering courses that meet UK standards as, we believe, they offer one of the more robust and comprehensive frameworks that ensures that there is a good standard of lifesaving knowledge and skills throughout all industries.
We can also tailor first aid courses to include only the skills that are most important to your setting, whether that be in a school, up a mountain, on a river or in an office. We can also offer training to individuals, families or small groups if, for example, you would like to feel more confident in how perform CPR, use a defibrillator and deal with an allergic reaction.
