The Emergency Outdoor First Aid course is designed for people who take part in outdoor activities or work in outdoor settings. This can mean that it may take longer for professional help to arrive, and casualties may need to be cared for in more difficult conditions. It focuses on treating both adults and children; and follows the guidance of the European Resuscitation Council.

This course can be customised to focus on the key risks in your work type and location.

The focus of this course is providing support to someone afflicted with a condition that is immediately life threatening:

  • First Aider Safety
  • Primary Survey
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • The Recovery Position
  • Dealing with Wounds and Bleeding
  • A Choking Casualty
  • Seizures.
  • Shock.
  • Head, Neck and Spinal Injuries
  • Drowning
  • Burns
  • Helping casualties affected by heat and cold.

This course requires a minimum of 8 hours of teaching time, our course normally takes 9 hours to incorporate a lunch and breaks
