Who is it for?
The 16-hour Outdoor First Aid course takes place over 2 days and is designed for those working in outdoor leadership, coaching or teaching roles, or those spending time in remote or inaccessible locations. Examples may include Forest school teachers, those leading school trips, Outdoor Education instructors, and people working in forestry or on Ecological surveys. Individuals or groups who take part in activities such as Mountaineering, paddlesport, Mountain biking or similar activities would also benefit from this course. It focuses on treating both adults and children; follows the guidance of the European Resuscitation Council and meets the requirements of organisations such as the Forest School Council, Duke of Edinburgh Award, British Canoe Union, British Cycling etc.

- First Aider Safety
- Primary Survey
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- The Recovery Position
- Dealing with Wounds and Bleeding
- A Choking Casualty
- Seizures.

- Head, Neck and Spinal Injuries
- Drowning
- Burns
- Helping casualties affected by heat and cold.
- Anaphylaxis
- Asthma
- Vital Signs Monitoring
- Managing Casualties Outdoors and Improvised Shelters
